You-Ri has been teaching and leading workshops in the U.K., Europe and Japan for many years. In the UK she teaches at acting schools such as LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), East 15, ArtsEd, Rose Bruford, BADA (British American Drama Academy), Fourth Monkey, ALRA (Academy of Live and Recorded Arts), LDA (London Dramatic Academy) and leads workshops for both professionals and non-professionals in many diverse fields. In Japan, at NNTT (New National Theatre Tokyo) Drama Studio, Theater Fuusikaden, Gorch Brothers, amongst many theatres and at NAHDA in Cairo, Egypt.
Her focus is always to connect mind, body and voice in order to free our ‘Inner Voice.’

You-Ri’s exercises use the five senses and voice intensively, adopting both Eastern and Western theatrical trainings, approach and philosophies.

We receive stimuli from the outside world not only through our five senses but also through our ‘sixth sense’. ‘Something’ is continuously happening within our body and mind. This ‘something’ can be our emotional life, our feeling or perhaps another aspect that cannot easily be defined. It might be a word, physical movement, a facial expression or nuance. 
When the central core is connected, the mind, body and voice connect truthfully and simply, we can then express our ‘Inner Voice’.

As an actor/performer and even in everyday life, in order to perform and express ourselves truthfully, simply and authentically, we need to have everything working in unison in order to embark on the journey.

You-Ri has also been leading workshops entitled, Freeing the Inner Voice - Body and Expression for over 20 years. This is a workshop designed for marginalized groups as well as professional performers.
